Don't give little piggies piggy-back rides...

What a fantastic day with the younglings at the school today. Things were getting pretty crazy during recess. Those little children can be devils! Anywho, it sounds like everyone else got lame classes and had to learn and stuff. Adrum, Edminston, and I got the awesome kids. We got to go the the gym and then to the playground for a couple of hours. Remember children, always be safe around German playgrounds. Also, another don't for Germany, don't give hefty children piggy-back rides because they will strangle you as you try to run. Well things are still great as usual. Today I got to be a typical American tourist and go sightseeing and get some souvenirs. It was pretty great and I can't wait for tomorrow. That is all!

Visit to Peter Petersen Elementary School

Today we got to visit an elementary school. It's always interesting to see how other schools function. The most remarkable thing to me was how quiet the students were. The class I visited was 4/5/6th grade, and they explained to me how they had to be quiet when their teacher rang a bell or they would get demerits. Ten demerits and they had to write an essay. They also get a grade for speaking in class (like their high school counterparts), so they are always excited to volunteer to answer questions or speak in front of the class.

Just another day in Berlin

Well, I think it's been another pretty successful day here in Berlin. Some of us did a little pick up game of soccer. That was pretty fun, for the short time I played at least. Another don't in Berlin, do not eat a lot before playing soccer! Very bad idea!!! Anywho, that went well. What was also nice was getting to here a couple of the Germans sing today. They had a choir concert and the music was great. Well, it's time to wrap up this post, goodnight everyone.

Welcome Party(better late than never)

We had just finished our first day at school, and in pretty sure we were all exhausted. After school we had the welcome party! The welcome party was just a fun time to get to know all of our hosts a little better, and just hang out and have fun. It seemed that we all enjoyed tossing a huge red ball around, but some words of advice are if the ball is going over your head and towards the pool, don't go for it, you will just get very wet, trust me. After we had finished tossing the ball around we proceeded to just hang out and have fun.

A note from Josh...

So another interesting day here in D-D-D-Deutschland. The old Stasi prison was very interesting but I think a few of us were just a little tired. It sounded like everyone also had a good weekend. It looked like everyone went to the sea but Adam and me. Next time remember some sunscreen guys! You too Frau. Oh, and for the does and don'ts of Germany, don't lay across public stairwells or you will be told to move. Just some words of advice guys.
