Kingsport, here we come!

Finally we arrived here in Kingsport, Tennesse! For most of us it is the first time that we visit the United States and all of us were so happy to meet our exchange students again. But it was an exhausting journey to get here where we are right now.....
We met on Sunday at 6:45 AM *yawn* at Tegel airport in Berlin. Everybody was looking foward to getting into the plane and fly far far away. Without any complications we got into the airplane und so our journey started. After 7 hours of a relaxed flight we had to make a stop in Canada to get some gas for the plane. A first sight it didnt't seem to be a big deal but it actually was a real problem. Because  we already were a little late while starting we would miss our second flight from Newark to Charlotte, which would mean that we had to stay at the airport one whole day. And that was the last thing we wanted.
After 2 more hours we finally landed in Newark. That was the first time we had American ground under our feet! But nobody could enjoy that feeling because we all had that big worry: Will we still get our flight?
After immigration and claiming the luggage we ran through the whole airport to check-in again and hopefully catch our flight to Charlotte. Just because of the lovely airport staff who lead us from one gate to the other we finally made it and everybody sat in the second airplane.
After a 9 hour flight it was easy to take another flight which was only 1 and a half hours long. And the moment was finally there: after exactly 99 days we saw at least some of our exchange students again. But the journey wasn't over yet. We had to deal with a bus ride. To give us a first impression about the States we went to Cracker Barrell, a very famous fast food restaurant with a huge candy store. After a delicious dinner and a 3 hours bus ride our day was over. Everybody went to his home for the following two weeks after nearly 24 hours of travelling. Everybody was falling asleep, so excited for the next few days to come.
