Rafting down the Nolichucky

On Saturday, after a relaxed week, we had an exciting and adventurous white water rafting trip down the Nolichucky.  First we met at 9.45 a.m. and listened to one of the guides. He told us what we should and shouldn't do and how we should react in case of falling into the water. Somehow all of his sentences seem to end with "...or you will die". Then we got our equipment (life vests and paddles) and were taken to the river by bus. We have been rafting for almost four hours till lunch and two hours after lunch.  During the first part of the trip we got wet and many of us fell into the water. Most of us were afraid of falling into the water but it wasn't as bad as we first thought. Lunch was so delicious because all of us were so hungry by then. But at the same time it was not really cosy because at lunchtime it was raining even harder. After lunch we continued our trip down the river. First we didn't want to continue because all of us were so wet and cold but in the end it was fun.  Our guides were really cool and kind. They pushed us into the water for fun and we really enjoyed ourselves. All in all, it was an exciting day because we had the opportunity to see the beautiful scenerey and to do something active.
